The island consists of 4 containers of 105 liters each, supported by a hot-dip galvanized metal base, featuring a central hole with a diameter of 80 mm for a flagpole. When buried in sand or soil for approximately 60/70 cm, this setup provides additional stability to the mini ecological island.
The individual conical module/container is 80 cm high, with a base diameter of 37 cm and a top diameter of 44 cm. It is constructed from HD polyethylene using rotational molding.
This material, produced in this manner, ensures high resistance to impacts, aging, fading, corrosion, atmospheric agents, UV rays, and is scratch-resistant. Most importantly, it has the advantage of not denting after sustaining impacts.
The containers can have various types of lids: handle, porthole, or three slots. The lid with a handle is made of rotational polyethylene, or it can be white methacrylate as shown in the image. The lids with three slots and the porthole are made of thermoformed ABS, then painted with the best two-component paints and secured with a lock.
The three-slot lid features two side slots and one front slot, each measuring 27×12 cm. The porthole lid has a diameter of 17 cm and is closed with a soft, rubberized gasket.
An internal container is also provided to replace the bag; this system is particularly adopted for heavier collections.
The manufacturer will ensure that, even after a significant time from the purchase, all metal and plastic spare parts will be provided as quickly as possible to prevent the item from being unusable due to damage resulting from vandalism or severe weather events.
