CHARACTERISTICS ART. 1083 CONTAINER LT. 105

LID WITH “CENTRAL HOLES” OR SLOT OPENINGS

The conical container with a capacity of 105 liters and a height of 800 mm is made from HDPE polyethylene (1st and 2nd life) using rotational molding, featuring a base diameter of 370 mm and a top diameter of 440 mm.

This molded material offers high resistance to impacts, aging, and discoloration.

The rotational molding process for plastics indicates that polymeric materials can be shaped into any form through a treatment that typically occurs at elevated temperatures. The base of the polymer can be natural, like wax or cellulose, or synthetic, like nylon. What characterizes rotational plastic is its high degree of resistance, as well as thermal and acoustic insulation.

The lid is made from thermoformed ABS sheet with a thickness of 5 mm and features three circular holes with a diameter of 110 mm—one in the front and two on the sides—or slot openings measuring 23×8 cm. The lid is secured to the container body with a triangular lock.

The container is fixed to a concrete base with a diameter of 43 cm and a weight of 22 kg, which is externally covered with a polyethylene structure, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.

At the center of the base, there is a hole with a diameter of 85 mm, allowing the insertion of a polyethylene accessory consisting of a flange with a diameter of 130 mm featuring four holes of 6 mm each. A tube with a height of 80 mm is welded onto this flange. This accessory, anchored to the ground, helps stabilize the container and prevents displacement in the event of vandalism or severe weather conditions.
