The containers that make up the “MINI ECOLOGICAL ISLAND” are made of polyethylene using rotational molding. This material, produced in this way, ensures high resistance to impacts, aging, and fading.

The rotational processing of plastic indicates that polymeric materials can be molded into any shape through a treatment that usually occurs at high temperatures. The base of the polymers can be natural, like wax or cellulose, or synthetic, like nylon.

What characterizes rotational plastic is its high degree of resistance, thermal insulation, and acoustic insulation. It is a truncated conical container with a rectangular base, measuring 30×45 cm at the top and having a height of 90 cm.

The lids are usually equipped with a handle but can also have a porthole or slot design. They are made of thermoformed ABS and then colored with the best two-component paints.

The metal structure is made of hot-dip galvanized tubular steel measuring 80x20x2 mm, shaped like an arch. The base serves as the supporting framework of the island and is designed to secure 5 containers. The base is prepared for embedding a flagpole and can also accommodate the pole in paved areas by adding a hot-dip galvanized support tube measuring 89 mm.

The inclusion of a flagpole is available upon request.

The structure does not support the containers; instead, they can be easily removed and rest on the metal crossbars on the floor. This design extends the lifespan of the containers, as they only need to bear their weight, even when subjected to lateral heavy collection (e.g., glass).

The manufacturer will ensure that, even after a long time from the purchase, all metal and plastic spare parts will be provided as quickly as possible to prevent the item from being unusable due to damage resulting from vandalism or severe weather events.
